Southwest Counseling Associates was conceived, not as a static business selling an established product, but as a dynamic ministry that is constantly adapting its services to the community we serve.
The following is a partial list of services we currently provide. Others are in the works, such as a package of resources designed for adoptees and those who care for them.
Tell us about your needs. If we don't have something in place that addresses them, chances are we can design something for you.
At the core of our ministry is the psychotherapeutic session consisting of a meeting between a licensed therapist and a client, who can be an individual, couple or family. Typically, sessions are 45 to 50 minutes long and take place in the privacy of the therapist's office in one of our three locations. To learn more about our counseling services, click here.
SCA is honored to have Linda Williams, MD, serving as our staff psychiatrist. A graduate of Harvard School of Medicine with over 20 years of family medical practice, Dr Williams is currently available on Thursdays at our Littleton office. Dr Williams treats each patient as an individual, integrating expert medication management, sensitive psychotherapy and appropriate consultation with other care givers. Appropriate treatment and effective decision making depend on accurate understanding of each client's challenges. Objective information, always important, is sometimes crucial. It can also be hard to come by. Adam Williams and Dr Chris Stanley provide their clients such information through a tailored battery of scientific measurements and expert evaluation. Pastors and other church staff members often need help and support from committed Christian professionals who understand the unique complexities and stressors of Christian ministry. Several of our clinical staff members have extensive experience in this area in addition to their psychotherapeutic training. They provide safe, confidential care for those who spend most of their time caring for others. To learn about our pastoral care services, click here.
