Dear friends of SCA,

These days people are experiencing acute emotional needs and strained relationships. Many feel fear over national and world events. They are looking for answers.

SCA has been serving the community for 24 years, and yet 2009 is unlike any of our previous years. People are struggling to pay for the help they need. Those who have jobs face doubts over how to manage their money in light of an uncertain future.

While needs are increasing, financial support for SCA (like that of many non-profits) has dropped off noticeably. Though each year we give away $150,000 worth of free care, we are straining our resources to meet the needs around us. Three of our most pressing needs are:

General funds
Our phone operating system (our current system is 20 years old and failing)
The low income scholarship fund

Your tax deductible gifts will impact lives. Donated funds free our therapists to see people in more distressed situations, provide phones and other equipment to facilitate our work, and allow us to expand our services. Everyone needs help at times to heal, grow and find direction. To meet this need, Mission Hills Church of Littleton, Colorado, established Southwest Counseling Associates in 1986 as a non-profit extension ministry. SCA maintains its partnership with Mission Hills while pursuing opportunitites to work with other churches in the greater Denver area and the Front Range.
