Nancy B. Andersson, MA, NCC

Nancy Andersson recently joined SCA as a staff pshychotherapist. She earned Master of Arts in counseling ministries and chaplaincy from Denver Seminary in 2007, and a Master of Arts in counseling in 2008. She has ten years of experience as a hospital chaplain, and she directed a church pastoral care program in Denver. Previously, she was a corporate and securities paralegal with US West and Qwest.

Nancy views counseling as a transformative process, often stimulated by health and lifestyle changes that occur as people mature. She has worked extensively with cancer patients and their families, helping them develop effective coping strategies and role definition. Her experience includes work with depression, anxiety, trauma, divorce, grief and loss, self-identity, and life roles. She also works with couples and individuals in the areas of marriage and relationships.
